Taste test: These snacks had an odd shape, kind of like a plus sign (+), but puffed up, with an inside made from rice and corn, and a thin caramel coating on the outside.

They felt kind of like cereal, and when I crunched in, the taste reminded me of cereal. Our snackers all found the taste and texture to be fairly mediocre — not bad or anything, but just not a standout as a good flavor, and the feel of cereal really just doesn't quite cut it as a snack. The taste was OK, but when compared to other caramel puffy snacks, such as the outstanding Caramel Corn Puffs from Shearer's there was really no comparison. While those Shearer's snacks are among the best snacks ever, these are far below average. The ingredients indicated that these contained both rice flour and corn meal, with more rice than corn, so that might have been their downfall.
