Archer Farms General Tso Thick-cut Potato Chips
Taste test: These potato chips were cut thick with wide ripples, and they had a golden yellow color, with some seasoning powder visible on most of the chips.
Our tasters were impressed by the nice crunch, good potato taste, and especially the mix of spices. Nobody though it was really a dead-on match for General Tso's Chicken (nor General Gau's), but people did like these a lot. Some thought the mix of spices was a lot like a Chinese-style seasoning, while one insisted it was a dead rings for the taste of Lipton Cup A Soup. Very good.

Smell test: Good potato smell, but not really any of the Chinese spices.
From the package: “This sweet and spicy chicken dish was first served in a Chinese restaurant in New York in 1977. Archer Farms brings you the flavors of this famous dish in a chip. We start with thick, hearty slices of crinkle-cut potatoes cooked to a crisp then seasoned to perfection with the flavors of finer, garlic and Asian-inspired spices.”
