Snyder of Berlin Cheese Curls Bold 'n Spicy Extra Cheesy
Taste test: This enormous bag contained some of the tastiest cheese puffs we've eaten.
Beyond just cheese, these were seasoned with some additional spices that added a bit of heat and a lot of flavor. The level of heat wasn't so high that I would consider these to be hot cheese curls, but it was just enough to really bring out the cheese flavor and enhance it. In addition to the typical yellow color, there were some green spots on the outside, presumable from the hot peppers. The density of these was a bit higher than your typical Jax. Unlike most cheese puffs, which tend to be curved, most of these were nearly straight, so from a distance, they were virtually indistinguishable from mini-carrots. The taste and texture were completely different than mini-carrots, but they sure looked the same, so you might get away with saying you're eating mini-carrots if you don't share them.
