Taste test: We opened this edition of Muddy Buddies to find that the Chex pieces had a very thin white powder coating, but also an evenly applied one, as they had consistent grid-like surfaces, with white areas in the pattern of crevices and yellow in between.
We crunched in to find a mild sugar-and-cinnamon flavor that worked well with the underlying Chex pieces. The Chex all seemed to be Corn Chex (which just happens to be the greatest of all Chex). The taste and texture were very good. It was sweet and cinnamony but didn't taste like cinnamon toast, and the feel was crisp and light. The downside here was that even with the relatively sparse amount of sweet seasoning, the very fine sugar seemed to get everywhere, so it could create a small mess. Best bet might be to pour these into a bowl and eat with a spoon.
