Taste test: This version of Chex Mix included Corn and Wheat Chex with a light chocolate coating; tiny knotted, chocolate-covered mini pretzels; something similar to mini red M&M's; tiny chocolate cookies; and some sort of yogurt-covered Chex.
The Chex themselves made up most of the bag, and the amount of chocolate powder stuck to any given piece varied a lot, but there was the expected light Chex crunch and a decent amount of chocolate flavor. The pretzels had a stronger crunch and a good mix of dark chocolate and salt. The yogurt-covered pieces had some chocolate that had rubbed off from the other pieces onto their surfaces, but they were mostly chocolate-free and offered a nice creamy contrast to the rest of the items. The red M&M-like items came with many fault lines on their surfaces, and when we bit in, they had a melty feel, along with the sweetest taste of the mix. A pretty good mix, but for you dark chocolate lovers out there, it really didn't taste that much different than milk chocolate.
