Taste test: From the outside, this bar looked like the peanut version of Snickers, with the same size, shape and wiggles on the top of the chocolate-coated bar.
The inside consisted of a nearly white nougat layer at the bottom and a liquidy caramel layer above that, with almonds mixed into the caramel area. The nougat and caramel layers were of about equal thickness. The differences between this and the Mars Chocolate Almond Bar were that this one had more caramel and less nougat, and it wasn't quite so packed with almonds as the Mars one. There was lots of chocolate and caramel, with a high level sweetness, but the substitution of almonds for peanuts was kind of a downer in terms of taste. The almonds didn't taste bad, but mixed with all that other stuff, I could hardly taste them. Peanuts, by contrast, have more flavor, so they mix better among those other strong flavors.
