Taste test: This snack from Sweden was an unusual one, and I really had no idea what to make of it when I was first handed the box. But it turned out to be pretty simple to describe: Licorice shaped like a smoking pipe, with some tiny pink candies attached to the end of the pipe. Each piece measured about 4 inches from end to end, and there were eight of them in the box.

I bit in to find a fairly rigid feel and lots of intense black licorice taste. It wasn't terribly hard to rip off a piece of pipe, but it wasn't exactly easy either.

I like to play with my food, and although I don't smoke at all, I do like to pretend to smoke (that's what pretzel rods are for!) so this one gave me an opportunity to pretend to smoke a pipe without having to get a real pipe — and then eat the whole thing afterward. Fun!
