Taste test: This sort of half-potato-shaped candy had a coconut-sprinkled milk chocolate exterior, with an interior that was maybe supposed to be a simulated potato texture, except softer and sweet.
It was definitely unusual, but it was sweet, moist, chocolatey and tasty. Considering the amount of coconut dominating the exterior, I was surprised that coconut didn't also dominate the taste. The chocolate was what dominated, and although the coconut texture was quite evident, it wasn't that noticeable until the aftertaste. The whole experience is really hard to describe, but this is one of those regional specialties that you've just got to try.
