Taste test: This bag contained short, thick, somewhat curvy puffs with a layer of chocolate covering the entire exterior. So it was like a cheese puff without the cheese, but dipped in chocolate.

The pieces looked quite good, with pretty much 100% coverage of the exteriors in chocolate and a smooth appearance, and they even didn't seem to melt on the fingertips at all. We bit in to find a nice soft crunch and light feel, and strong kick of chocolate for such a light item. We shared them around with some folks enjoying beverages, and most liked the taste, but a few weren't impressed by the quality of the chocolate, describing it as waxy.

Smell test: Smells like chocolate sauce.

From the package: “Ingredients: Chocolate Flavor Coating (Sugar, Vegetable Oil (Palm Oil, Sunflower Oil, Shea Oil, Tocopherols {Vitamin E}, Soy Lecithin), Whole Milk Powder, Unsweetened Chocolate, Nonfat Dry Milk, Lactose, Cocoa Powder, Soy Lecithin, Arabic Gum, Confectionery Glaze (Ethanol, Shellac, Coconut Oil), Emulsifier Com (Mono -Diglycerides, Soy Lecithin), Vanillin (Artificial Flavor), Artificial Chocolate Flavor, Corn Puff (Corn Grits, Wheat Flour, White Rice Flour, Rice Bran Oil, Salt), Sugar.” [Note: This might set or tie the record for the deepest nesting of parentheses in any ingredient list we've seen. However, the numbers of open and close parentheses did not match correctly.]
