Jelly Belly Sunkist Citrus Mix
Taste test: This jelly bean mix included orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime and tangerine varieties.
After reading the flavor list, the first question that came to mind was whether I would be able to tell the difference between the orange ones and the tangerine ones, since those and the grapefruit ones were all shades of orange. Based on the back of the bag, the tangerine ones were the lighter of the orange shades, so I grabbed two of those and was very impressed, as they really did taste like tangerine, and almost felt like it as well — excellent flavor and not overly sweet. The lemon ones were quite good, though unlike real lemons, they mixed lots of sweet in with the sour lemon. Lime is my least favorite of these flavors, but these were fairly sweet, with a remotely real lime taste. I'm not a big grapefruit fan either, but none of the beans in the bag seemed to taste much like grapefruit. I liked the orange ones too, but they weren't quite as real as the tangerine ones, just a little too sugary.
