Taste test: This well-designed box contained a tray with five jelly bean-shaped sections, each containing a different flavor of dark chocolate-covered jelly beans: Very Cherry, Orange, Raspberry, Coconut and Strawberry.
For all five flavors, the beans themselves looked identical from the outside, as the chocolate coating obscured the actual bean surfaces. Thankfully, the sections were clearly labeled, both on the inside of the box top and the side of the box. I don't usually like the results of snacks that combine fruits with chocolate; the problem is that the chocolate prevents you from really tasting the fruit, while the fruit sort of blocks your chocolate rush, so the whole is less than the sum of the parts. Dips were not an exception. I would've rather just had some jelly beans, then a chocolate bar. Of these flavors, the best ones were Strawberry. I was disinclined to like Orange, since I don't think orange and chocolate go together. I didn't like it one the first bite, but the taste did grow on me after that. As for Coconut, Raspberry and Very Cherry: Tried all three, really didn't like them, so no thanks!
