Belgian Boys Choco Stroopwafel

Taste test: Waffles coated in chocolate sounded like quite a delicious snack, so I bought this. I peeled open the package to find that parts of the wrapper were stuck to caramel that had melted at some point and made its way past the chocolate. Still, most of the exterior was chocolate. This round waffle was about 3-1/4 inches in diameter, and about 1/3 of an inch thick, with a chocolate coating on all sides, with some white, crumb-like things stuck to the chocolate in some places.

I bit in to find that the caramel coating was just on the top side, while the milk chocolate covered the top, bottom and sides. The mix of cookie, chewy caramel and mild chocolate tasted very good and a had a nice, mildly chewy texture overall. The feel was way more like a cookie than a waffle, and indeed it looked like it was just a thin cookie inside, not a waffle. The cookies also made a lot of crumbs, so I'm glad I ate this over a plate. Kind of disappointing in the waffle department, but a good chewy chocolate and sugar rush nonetheless.
