Taste test: This was the first time I've eaten 7-Eleven's house-brand peanut butter cups, so before getting to the whole caramel aspect here, I need to describe some mind-blowing innovations that became clear as soon as I opened the package.
Externally, the wrapper was about the same size as a Reese's 2-cup pack, and the cups had about the same measurements as Reese's. But the cups lacked the expected paper wrappers attached to the sides and bottom; instead they were attached to nothing and sat loosely in a single tray with round openings for each cup. The cups had sloping sides with ripples, much like Reese's, but instead of sloping outward, they sloped inward — like we're in Bizarro World or something! The top of each one (which would be the bottom of the paper cup if this were a Reese's) had a pattern on it that looked kind of like a circus tent.
As for the cups themselves, I bit in to find that there was a very thin caramel layer above the peanut butter interior. It didn't look like there was much caramel compared to the peanut butter, but the taste was a different story. I could definitely taste the caramel, and I could hardly taste the peanut butter. It was all pretty good, with a smooth texture and a good taste from that winning combination of caramel and milk chocolate. But if you're craving peanut butter, this one might not help!

Smell test: Good peanut butter and chocolate smell.
From the package: “Rich milk chocolate filled with creamy peanut butter and caramel” ... “Produced in Poland” ... “It's a peanut butter cup. No, it isn't. It's a barrel of caramel fun inside a creamy milk chocolate shell. And what's more fun than one? Why two, of course. 7-Select Creamy Caramel Peanut Butter Cups, the yum never stops”
