It's not a short drive, but since the Red Sox weren't playing anywhere near Orlando, it was worth it. Dunedin is near Tampa and next to Clearwater (home of the Phillies) but it definitely isn't quite the metropolis that Orlando is. You've gotta drive a long way through some less-than-scenic parts of town to find the stadium, and then they try to charge you $10 for parking in the stadium lot. We parked at the VFW across the street on the edge of a ditch — supporting a good cause and paying half that price. The place was packed, and the crowd included a lot of very elderly folks. Also in the crowd were some very annoying folks who happened to be sitting right near us — specifically, the guy who yelled "I got it!" every time anyone made contact with the ball, and the lady who knew just about nothing about baseball and yet wouldn't stop talking about baseball. Knology Park is nothing fancy, kind of worn down, but you do get to be very close to the players. Tip: The Red Sox visit here every year and probably sell out, so get your tickets early.
