"O" - Cirque du Soleil (Las Vegas)Location: Bellagio, 3600 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Our thoughts: Just like everyone will be famous for 15 minutes, it seems like every Las Vegas hotel will have a Cirque du Soleil show. The most famous of these shows (at least according to the person who dragged me to see it) is "O" at the Bellagio. Don't expect any sort of plot like you would by attending a play, musical, opera or movie. This is basically a sensory experience, where you watch a bunch of "circus" acts, only without the cotton candy or elephants (I'm sure eventually they'll put an elephant into one of these shows). The appeal of "O" is that in addition to the regular acrobatics, at times during the show the floor transforms into a giant pool, and the acrobats become divers. One of the more interesting non-water acts is when a clown suddenly catches fire while reading a newspaper. The theater itself is about the size of 5 regular movie theaters, but still has pretty good views of the action. There are two shows, at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. We attended the 10:30 p.m. show, and at one point my eyelids started dropping. Tip: Really. Don't try to figure out a plot your head will hurt.
