Our thoughts: The AmeriSuites probably doesn't get much attention from the vacationing set as it's set off strip (across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino) and close to the airport. It seems to host more business and UNLV-related travelers.

Regardless of its location, the AmeriSuites is a good option for the budget-minded. The rates seem to run around $100/night, but for that you get a clean two-room suite with a kitchenette, refrigerator, couch and desk. It's more room than you'll get at a similarly-priced Strip hotel. If you don't mind staying off-Strip, consider AmeriSuites, especially since the hotel runs a shuttle to and from the Strip (dropping off/picking up at the Aladdin) and to and from the airport, saving you cab fare if you so choose.

Tip: If you need food or toiletries, hit the 24-hour CVS, about a 5-minute walk.
