 | | | Mystic Potato Chips Gourmet Dark RussetBuy potato chips at Amazon.com
Taste: Like many of the dark russet chips I've tried, these are very good chips. They're a lot like Cape Cod's dark russet chips, which have earned consistent praise from many chip eaters. Although the taste of these is similar, Cape Cod's version tends to feel dry in your mouth, whereas somehow these actually moisten your mouth as you eat them. And it's very hard to stop eating them. This bag contained lots of large, unbroken chips, with the irregular shapes that characterize most kettle-cooked chips. Very good stuff. Shop: Buy potato chips at Amazon.com
Aroma: Very nice dark russet smell.

"Mystic ChipsŪ proudly introduces the Dark Russet Potato Chip. Evers since the invention of the potato chip in 1853 by George Crum, a Native American, people have been trying to reinvent this ageless potato treat in countless varieties of shape, flavor and crunch. This time, however, we know you'll love our contribution to snacking history. Our special variety of Russet Potato, precisely sliced and kettle-cooked in 100% pure peanut oil, transformed into a hearty-flavored, dark potato chip. The Mystic ChipsŪ Dark Russet isn't dark and robust because of buring or overcooking, but from the natural caramelization of sugars in the Russet Potato."
