 | | | Buckaneer Joe's Unburied Treasure White Cheddar Corn PuffsBuy snacks at Amazon.com Taste: From the looks of the bag, I thought these were going to be a Trader Joe's private-label knockoff of the extremely popular Pirate's Booty cheese puffs. There's a pirate ship and a treasure chest on the bag, and the back of the bag is written in pirate-speak. The puffs themselves even look a lot like Pirate's Booty, in terms of shape and color. But once we got around to actually eating these, we were sadly disappointed. There's a very slight cheese coating on the outside, and if you put one of these on your tongue before biting in, you can briefly taste it. But if you bite right into the cheese puff, there's pretty much no flavor at all, and it's just like you're eating styrofoam.
