 | | | Little Debbie Chocolate CupcakesBuy snacks at Amazon.com Taste: These smallish, individually wrapped cupcakes very closely followed the trail long-since blazed by Hostess Cupcakes, right down to the shape of the frosting ribbon across the top. They were very good, with a nice moist chocolate cake and a tasty creme filling. The proportion of cake to filling was just right, a nice balance. The sweetness wasn't so high that you need to have these with a glass of milk, but that's what I did, and it sure was good. The cupcakes came in cellophane wrappers, but without the traditional cupcake sleeves, so I had to carefully open the wrapper and hold the cupcake through the wrapper to avoid getting my fingers sticky. "When you open a box of Little Debbie snacks, you can be sure our family's pride and heritage is baked into every tasty bite. The McKee baking tradition started during the early 1930's, when our grandfather, O.D. McKee, began selling 5 cent snack cakes from the back of his car. By 1934, he and our grandma, Ruth, purchased a small commercial baker with only a $200 down payment. The rest is history!"
