Chia Pop Aged White Cheddar

Taste: Before we even crunched into one kernel, this white cheddar popcorn stood out from the crowd in a few ways. The most obvious before opening the bag was the inclusion of Chia Powder in the ingredients — not something we've seen in popcorn before.

When we opened the bag, the appearance of the kernels stood out among other white cheddar varieties. For a white cheddar popcorn, it didn't look particularly white, as there were many tiny brownish spots to give it a distinctly off-white appearance. The kernels were generally fairly large.

We crunched in to find a good crispness and a fairly mild cheddar flavor, mixed in with some very mild spices. There wasn't the sharp, intense cheddar that you get from Smartfood and its imitators — nor lots of white cheddar ruboff on the fingertips (though there was a bit). Pretty good popcorn.

Aroma: Strong cheddar smell, with maybe just a hint of burnt popcorn too.
