Planters Kettle Roasted Peanuts Extra Crunchy Classic Salt

Buy snacks at Amazon.com

Taste: There was something odd about the "extra crunchy" moniker that Planters gave these peanuts. They were definitely louder than regular peanuts when we bit into them, as if there were an extra "shell" or coating that made it harder to bite through. At first, I thought the peanuts were just stale. (One taster said they reminded him of airline peanuts.) It shouldn't take a whole lot of effort to crunch through peanuts, so your jaw might get a bigger workout than you expect. There was a good amount of salt on these peanuts, not too much, but also not too little. Other than the "crunch" factor, there was not much distinguishing these nuts from regular Planters peanuts.

Aroma: Smells like peanut butter.

From the package:

"Once you try them, you won't forget the delectable taste and extra crunchy texture of Planters Classic Salt Kettle Roasted Peanuts. That's because the nut experts at Planters have carefully roasted each small batch to bring out its crunch and then sprinkled it with salt for an added touch of flavor. With a crisp crunch in every satisfying bite, they're the perfect salty snack any time of day!"
