California Pistachios Salt & PepperBuy snacks at Amazon.com Taste: This spiffy cardboard box contained a plastic bag with lots of pistachios, most of which were partially opened and fairly easy to pull apart with the bare hands to access the nut inside. For this pistachio novice, the taste was very good, with a nice kick of flavor. The black pepper taste was not an overly strong one, as it enhanced the underlying flavor of the pistachio without giving it a whole lot of pepper taste. Our tasters liked these a lot. "Where We Got Our Name. Long, long ago, we decided to have a contest and ask people to name our pistachios. We put ol' Paul in charge, and the suggestions came flooding in. Some of the suggestions were: 'Nutty 'o Nuttiness', 'This Monkey Loves Nuts!', 'These Nuts are your Nuts, These Nuts are my Nuts' and 'Bobo's Nuts' (sent in by some guy named Bobo) ... "
