Taste: This snack box contained 8 slices of Bridgeford Turkey Pepperoni, a bag of about 15 Mary's Gone Crackers, a bag of Sheffa Zesty Snack Mix, a bag of Mariani Ultimate Apricots, a .75-oz. tub of Copper Cowbell Asiago cheese, a mini-Apple Pie Larabar, a small Swiss Delicato Chocoboc Noir candy bar, and a GoPicnic-branded chewable peppermint. The crackers were described as "Super Crunchy" on their bag, and indeed they were, so much so that many of them had already been crunched into smaller pieces. They were loaded with a whole bunch of different kinds of seeds, and they tasted pretty good, but they were kind of dry. They had kind of a burnt aftertaste if eaten on their own. Dipping them in the smooth, easily spreadable Asiago cheese took care of the dryness and added some great flavor. The pepperonis were very moist, and indeed a bit wet on the outside. They were just a bit larger than the crackers (the unbroken ones, anyway) so I made some sandwiches combining cheese, crackers and pepperoni. Very tasty, with some hot afterkick from the pepperoni. The apricots were OK, but not as sweet as some dried apricots that I've had. The snack mix included chickpea noodles, roasted corn and toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds. It was tasty all around, with some good crunch from the roasted corn kernels. The Larabar didn't look like apple pie, but it sure tasted like it. The candy bar was dark chocolate with some almonds and nougat inside. It seemed to be hard as a rock when I tried to bite in, but once I managed to get in, the taste was pretty good. Overall, this was fairly filling and tasty little meal, more food than I expected. Shop: Buy beef jerky at Amazon.com
