We could tell that they were officially sanctioned baseball cookies because there was a Major League Baseball hologram sticker on the box. However, the Boston Red Sox branding on the box proved to be false, as there was nothing about the cookies themselves that was particular to the Red Sox. There was a definite mismatch in the contents of the two bags, as one contained just seven cookies, while the other had eleven. Both bags were supposed to be 100 calories, but that seems unlikely. There was also a mismatch in quality: The cookies in the 7-cookie bag were stale, while the ones in the 11-cookie bag were far better, with a good crunch. They were not bad, but there are lots of better butter cookies out there.
