Special K Popcorn Chips Sweet & Salty

Taste: After eating the butter version of these (which didn't taste much like buttered popcorn, really), we hoped this Sweet & Salty version to be aiming for the taste of kettle corn. We opened the foil bag inside the box to find that like the Butter kind, the chips were triangular and small, with wiggly surfaces and a light yellow/light beige color. There were also some black spots, plus some dark red spots. We crunched in to find a surprising departure from the expected taste — it didn't seem like kettle corn at all. There was a slight sweetness, but not much of it, and not really much saltiness either. It didn't taste like plain popcorn, and it also didn't taste like kettle corn. There was nothing really bad about the flavor, but it wasn't anything special or great. If you're craving some kettle corn, you just might have to go get some, because this won't fit your need.

Aroma: Like very slightly burnt popcorn.
