They're shaped kind of like the petals of a flower, with the petals running together, sort of like a bowl shape, only sort of with petals. Put one of them on your tongue, and it melts! You can feel a mild fizz as it melts, but it doesn't sting or anything. If you leave it on your tongue long enough and have enough moisture in your mouth, it dissolves completely, so there's nothing to chew on. They have a mild prawn taste, not bad at all.
