Jans Maxi Mixed Roots Exotic Blend Coriander Sea Salt

Buy snacks at Amazon.com

Taste: This bag contained two different kinds of sweet potato chips (very dark purple ones, and orange ones that were quit a bit lighter than the usual sweet potato chips), plus taro chips and cassava chips. Usually mixes of root vegetable chips roughly resemble Terra Chips, but these were almost entirely different in texture, appearance and taste. The two kinds of sweet potato chips didn't have the soft feel that sweet potato chips usually have, but a harder crunch more typical of cassava chips. The taro chips didn't look anything look what I've come to expect, with none of the things that look like smudges of purple ink. In fact, it was hard to tell the taro chips from the cassava chips. All of them were cut thin, with generally not a crisp crunch and covered with a tasty seasoning that added some flavor to the veggies but didn't overwhelm them. The mix of tastes among the varieties was different enough that I couldn't resist eating quite a few in one sitting. Pretty good.

Aroma: Nice, kind of sweet and almost fruity.
