Buy snacks at Amazon.com Taste: I've got very good memories of French's French Fried Onions, so I've often cited their great taste in evaluating various other onion snacks. However, I hadn't actually eaten any in quite a while, so when I spotted this can at my favorite supermarket, it seemed like a good chance to review them. I opened the can and found that the pieces of breaded onion were quite tiny — much smaller than the ones pictured on the can, and also paler, more irregularly shaped and less attractive. I poured a bunch of them onto a plate to eat, and along with the fried onions, there was a very large lump of clumped-up breading, and it looked gross (and I didn't even try to eat it). I did of course eat the fried onions. Though they did have some of that good onion taste that I expected, they also tasted greasy, and they left behind a super-greasy aftertaste. I won't comment on using these for cooking, since I didn't try, but as a snack they were just awful. Shop: Buy snacks at Amazon.com Aroma: Very sweet onion smell.
