 | | | CVS Gold Emblem Original Potato CrispsBuy snacks at Amazon.com Taste: This new product from the folks at CVS is their version of Pringles. The concept's all the same: identically shaped potato crisps in a can. I opened the can and grabbed a crisp, but I was surprised to find that the shape was noticeably different than Pringles/Stax. The shape was less of an oval and more rectangular, though still curved at the corners and still bent. If you look at one of the crisps straight-on, it looks kind of like an old-fashioned TV set. The taste was OK, as it was kind of like Pringles, but the taste was weak, making these even blander than Pringles. The salt seemed to be mainly on one side of the crisps, so focusing on the concave side helped to maximize flavor. These are OK if you want to save a few cents, but for better taste, stick with Pringles. Shop: Buy snacks at Amazon.com Aroma: Seems like a stronger potatoey smell than Pringles, but similar.
