Taste: These cassava chips were cut thin and had a nice crispness, with a light, sort of a crumbly feel to them upon biting in. After enjoying the other two flavors of Arico Cassava Chips, we were expecting this "original" version to have little or no special flavoring, but we were surprised by the inclusion of a very tasty seasoning. The lightness, crispness and excellent taste added up to another top-notch cassava chip from Arico.
"Cassava grows much like potato and originated from the ancient South American civilization thousands of years ago. Its cultivation spread to other parts of Latin American, Asia, and Africa. Today cassava is consumed by millions around the world and is relatively unknown in North America. Cassava provides twice the fiber of the common potato and when prepared as a snack chips has a delightfully satisfying flavor and a light, crispy addictive crunch."
