Taste: These cheese curls came in a variety of shapes and sizes and had a medium-orange overall color, with some yellower areas in some of the crevices. Unfortunately, Old Dutch used an orange-tinted bag window for this snack, giving the impression to those looking at an unopened bag that these cheese curls were far oranger than they really were, sort of a dark nuclear orange that almost matched the non-transpapent orange color used elsewhere on the bag. When I crunched in, I found that the curls had a great crispness and very nice light crunch. They tasted very good, but the cheese level was fairly mild. The cheese was different than the standard cheddar used on most cheese curls, as there was a slight hint of some of the additional seasonings that they use in nacho cheese chips. A higher level of cheese would have helped to accentuate the nacho flavor and to make these stand out a bit more from the usual flavors of crunchy cheese curls.
Aroma: Pretty good cheese smell mixed in with some toasted corn smell, a bit different than the usual cheese curls, but not quite a Nacho Cheese Doritos sort of smell.
