Junior Mints Peppermint Crunch
Taste: These candies looked almost the same as Junior Mints, but there were some tiny pink and red spots in the shiny chocolate surfaces. The spots didn't look much like the ones shown in the pictures on the package, as they were less prominent, but they were indeed there. Given the "Peppermint Crunch" name, we expected that the difference between these and regular Junior Mints would, at a minimum, be the addition of, well, peppermint crunch. So we were surprised to find that there wasn't any peppermint crunch to speak of. Those pink and red bits were sufficiently tiny that we couldn't feel any actual crunch. The overall taste did not seem to be quite the same as regular Junior Mints, as it was just maybe marginally less minty. Not really any better or worse, just slightly different. Junior Mints are great (just ask Kramer!) so go buy another box if you like them, but there's no real reason to go out of your way to find this version.
