 | | | GooGoo ClusterBuy snacks at Amazon.com Taste: This box contained four individually wrapped GooGoo Clusters, each roughly the size and shape of a hockey puck, though much more irregularly shaped and not quite as thick. Starting near the bottom, there was a marshmallow layer, covered by a thin caramel layer, covered in peanuts, and then the whole thing was coated in milk chocolate. The bottom was flat, and you could see the shapes of peanuts jutting through the top. The taste was pretty good, with a heavy emphasis on peanut in most bites. There was a chewy texture resulting from the thick marshmallow layer, and in some bites I could detect some marshmallow or caramel taste. It was kind of messy to eat the GooGoo Cluster, as peanuts and fragments of chocolate tended to go flying off in all directions when biting in, so it worked best eating it on a plate. "Milk Chocolate, Peanuts, Caramel & Marshmallow" ... "An American Tradition Since 1912" ... "In 1912, Howell Campbell, founder of Standard Candy Company, had a dilemma. He had just invented America's first 'combination candy bar' - a delicious concotion of caramel, marshmallow and roasted peanuts, hand coated with rich milk chocolate in an unusual round shape - and he didn't know what to call it. A friend suggested the name Goo Goo as it dectibed the rich, chewy consistency of the candy bar and because 'It's so good, people will ask for it from birth.' "
