Taste: These chewy candies had irregular shapes similar to Raisinettes, except with a light green exterior color in this case. Upon biting in, it turned out that the green coating was quite thick (contrary to the cut-away view pictured on the back of the box, which showed a very thin green shell. The taste was very much apple upon biting in, with some sweetness and lots of sourness to it, and it really didn't taste like Sugar Babies at all. Only after much chewing of each particular piece did the very nice Sugar Babies taste suddenly emerge — sort of a gritty, sugary texture but still very tasty. But at no point did the flavor remind me of a caramel apple. Personally, I'd rather have the original Sugar Babies so that I can go right to that taste. (When I want to taste apple, I'll eat an apple.)
