Barton's Peppermint Bark
Taste: This bark bar was fairly thick at about a quarter-inch, split between a dark chocolate layer and a vanilla layer. The surface of the chocolate side was somewhat irregular and lumpy, a contrast to the vanilla side, which was smooth and flat — sort of. Although the vanilla itself was smooth, that's where bits of broken-up hard peppermint candy were stuck. We crunched in to find that both layers were dense but had a feel soft enough to bite into, with some occasional bits of crunch from the more-solid peppermint pieces. The taste was great — a excellent mix of chocolate, vanilla and mint.
