It had the typical jerky flavor, but it was definitely spiced up with some black pepper and other flavors, so there was plenty of spice and a bit of a hot aftertaste. Some of the pieces were slightly rubbery, but most were very easy to bite into. The jerky pieces in this bag were in a variety of shapes and sizes, and our tasters ate their way through all of them in short order.
